BOE FYI Avon High School Maintenance Projects Underway

Avon Public Schools will be having asbestos abatement at Avon High School this summer from July 24th through July 30th.  During this time there will be no summer programming or admittance of children under 18 years of age during the abatement process. 

Also, the athletic fields at the high school will be treated for crabgrass and weeds beginning at 8:00 a.m. on July 24th.  Spraying of the herbicide Lesco Prosecutor and Momentum Force Weed & Feed will be done throughout the day along the banks above the practice field as well as all playing fields.  These areas will be off limits to the public for 24 hours after application to allow the herbicide to dry completely before use of the fields is permitted.
