Avon Historical Society Exhibit & Presentation: Early Settlers and Homesteads of Whortleberry Hill in Northington

The Avon Historical Society announces an exhibit and presentation on the history of six homes the Whortleberry Hill area of Northington from the 18th into the 19th centuries.  It was designed and curated by members of the Special Projects Committee of the Society.  The exhibit entitled, Early Settlers and Homesteads of Whortleberry Hill in Northington, opens on Saturday, May 5 and includes a special presentation on historic architecture by Mr. Christopher Wigren,  Deputy Director, Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation at 11:00am.  Both the exhibit and presentation are in the Avon Free Public Library. The exhibit will be open for viewing through June 30.  Full details are attached.
