2019 is a year of significant anniversaries and the Avon Free Public Library will be honoring some of those important dates with a documentary film series beginning in June. The lineup is as follows:

The Circus Fire

Honor the 75th anniversary of the horrific circus fire with this CPTV original documentary.  The Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey Circus Fire was one of the worst fires in the history of the United States, claiming the lives of 167 people in Hartford Connecticut on July 6, 1944. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The Making of a Movie Classic

Celebrate the 80th anniversary of the beloved 1939 classic with this documentary about the making of the movie. Hosted by Angela Lansbury, this fun and entertaining 2017 film includes rare behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes, and fascinating reminiscences from cast members.
