The Avon Free Public Library will present A History of Connecticut Food on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1:30 PM online through Zoom.

What is Connecticut food? Hear the interesting history of Election Cake, Grape-Nut Pudding, Steamed Cheeseburgers, and Fried Oysters. Learn about the crops, livestock and seafood that have shaped the complex cuisines that the people of Connecticut have cherished for centuries. This program will please every food lover who appreciates the story behind a meal and every budding chef who longs for the secrets of favorite local dishes!
