Should I Keep My Money Under the Mattress? Understanding Recessions, Depressions, and Inflation

The Avon Free Public Library will host “Should I Keep My Money Under the Mattress? Understanding Recessions, Depressions, and Inflation” on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 6:00pm. This virtual program will be presented through Zoom by Dr. Paramita Dhar, an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Dhar will explain the differences between economic depressions and economic recessions, what they have to do with inflation, put them into historical context, help us understand how we got to where we are now, and answer the age-old question… Should we keep our money under our mattress?
