American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

April 5, 2024 Update

At its April 4th meeting, the Town Council approved two appropriations: $50,000 to complete a Classification & Compensation Study for unaffiliated Town employees and a $5,000 donation to the People’s Action for Clean Energy (PACE) in gratitude for the technical support and assistance provided to the Avon Clean Energy Commission in the development of the Town’s new Community Energy Plan. These requests will be considered by the Board of Finance at its April 15th meeting. Additionally, projects totaling $906,000 have been included in the proposed FY 2024/2025 capital budget.

Assuming Board of Finance approval of these projects, as well as approval of the FY 2024/2025 Budget at the Budget Referendum on May 15th, $216,359 will remain unobligated. The Town Council has identified $156,000 in additional projects for the balance, leaving approximately $60,000 unallocated. All of these projects are outlined in the Proposed Funding Plan Worksheet.

A pie chart illustrating the distribution of appropriated (approved), proposed and unallocated ARPA funds by functional area can be found below.
