ARPA Update - May 9, 2022

At its May 5^th meeting, the Town Council continued to discuss and receive additional information on ARPA proposals that have been submitted by Town and Board of Education staff and members of the public to date. As of this writing a total of $1,400,000 million has been appropriated and an additional $1,000,000 is proposed in the Fiscal Year 2022/2023 capital budget for pavement management. The budget will be the subject of a Referendum Vote scheduled for May 11^th.

 

Additionally, during its May 5^th meeting, the Town Council approved appropriations requests for six projects totaling just over $1 million. These projects will now be considered by the Board of Finance on May 23^rd. We anticipate that four more projects totaling approximately $950,000 will be brought to the Town Council and the Board of Finance for consideration on June 2^nd and June 27^th, respectively. Assuming approval of all pending appropriations requests (May and June), the Town will have appropriated $4.41 million of its $5.4 million ARPA allocation. A total of about $989,000 will remain unobligated. Recommendations for the remainder of the funding are listed in gray at the bottom of the Proposed Funding Plan worksheet.
