Woodstock:  A 50th Anniversary Celebration

Were you at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969?

Didn’t go but always wished you had?

Curious about the iconic four-day festival that drew a half million people to a dairy farm in Bethel, New York and was headlined by such legendary performers as Richie Havens, Joan Baez, Santana, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young?

Then come to Woodstock: A 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Avon Free Public Library on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 6:30 pm for a multimedia presentation by musician, author, photographer, and radio host Craig Harris. Experience the “Summer of Love” through rare recordings, archival video, live music, and great stories.

The program is for adults and teens. Feel free to wear your love beads and flowers in your hair! Free of charge and no need to register. The Avon Free Public Library is at 281 Country Club Rd. in Avon, CT. For more information, please call the library at 860.673.9712 or visit online at www.avonctlibrary.info.
