AvonCon at Avon Library

The Avon Free Public Library is excited to announce AvonCon will be Saturday, April 27th from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Join us for a day of magic, creativity, and community spirit. Modeled after the grand comic conventions of New York City and San Diego, AvonCon is an all-day event celebrating geek culture and giving appreciation for comics and related popular art forms.

AvonCon promises to be a day filled with excitement and wonder for all ages. Attendees can look forward to engaging panels, interactive workshops, a variety of vendors, creative crafts, and captivating activities happening simultaneously throughout the library premises. Some of the highlights of the event includes the rare opportunity to meet Sparkle the Unicorn from Mystic Party Animals, along with a virtual author visit by renowned manga, comic and WEBTOON artist Snailords, and several Connecticut horror authors. Cosplay enthusiasts are encouraged to dress up and to participate in the cosplay contest with a chance to win a prize!

AvonCon runs from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; some events require advance registration.
