Avon Historical Society

The Avon Historical Society has need of volunteers.  Can you help?

  • Handyman - if you have some skills with simple repair that you can lend from time to time.  On-call help is needed for minor electrical work, woodwork, window repair, moving of displays, etc.  Each museum has its own tool box.
  • Greeters on Sundays from June-September at the Pine Grove Schoolhouse or Derrin House. No experience needed but a love of history and sharing that interest with others. Walking tour brochures will be provided.
  • Gardeners - help others create and maintain existing gardens at the Living Museum and Derrin House.
  • Hospitality - help us form a committee to assist with set up, clean up bringing baked goods, greeting visitors at events sponsored by the Historical Society.
