Why am I mailing my tax payments to a Boston address?
During the collection months of July and January, the Town of Avon utilizes Webster Bank's Lockbox service to help us process payments.  In addition to mailing payments to Webster Bank, residents are welcome to come and pay in person (Building 2), mail payment to us at Town Hall, pay online, or utilize the drop box outside our office (checked daily).  If you require a receipt, we do ask that you send payment to the office with a self-addressed stamped envelope.  If you are utilizing "Bill Pay" or some other type of ACH through your bank, please have your tax payment sent to us directly at Town Hall because without the stub Lockbox is unable to process your payment - allow adequate time for mailing as these payments are not US post marked and will be considered late if not received by last day to pay.

If you are paying your taxes late, please do not utilize the return envelope for Boston and mail the payments directly to us in Town Hall.
