Mortgage Crisis Job Training Program

Increase your job skills and become more financially stable through: Job Training Scholarships, Financial Literacy Training, Credit Counseling, and Referrals to other needed services.

To be eligible, you must be a Connecticut resident, 60 days or more past due on your mortgage (mortgage is for primary residence in Connecticut), your household income equals less than $120,000, and you are referred by the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) or can demonstrate an imminent need for services.

Free Vocational Training/Employment Services

Chrysalis Center will be providing free vocational training/employment services to at least 20 young adults with mental health issues. To qualify, individual must be between 18-24 years old, reside in the greater Hartford area, be able to travel to Hartford for training and case management services, and have a mental health or emotional issue. Chrysalis staff will work with individuals to create vocational goals and connect them to training(s) their career path of choice. Once the training is complete, Chrysalis staff will assist young adult with attaining employment. Referrals accepted via email at rmichalman@chrysaliscenterct.org  or call 860-263-4400.

Capital City Youth Build Americorps Program is Open-Earn While You Learn!

CRT Capital City YouthBuild Construction program is currently recruiting people from Hartford, between the ages of 18-24, with or without a high school diploma. Participants will have the opportunity to obtain their high school diploma if they don't have one. All participants will develop skills for success and have the opportunity to receive their OSHA-10 certificate, Home Builders Institute (HBI) PACT certification, CPR, and ServSafeManagement certification and be eligible for a stipend and incentives.
