ARPA Update - March 31, 2023

March 31, 2023 Update
 
At its March 30th Special Meeting, the Town Council approved a request for $15,000 for the Avon Fuel Bank. This is in addition to $25,000 that was appropriated for this purpose in late 2022. The Board of Finance will consider the request at its April 24th meeting. Assuming approval, the funding will be used for Avon families that have exhausted their benefits with the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program and Operation Fuel.
 
Assuming approval of the pending request before the Board of Finance, the Town will have appropriated $3,8678,434 of its $5.4 million ARPA allocation. A total of $1.54 million will remain unobligated. Possible projects for the remainder of the funding are listed in gray at the bottom of the Proposed Funding Plan worksheet. A pie chart illustrating the distribution of the appropriated (approved), proposed and unallocated ARPA funding by functional area can be found below.
