September 8, 2023 Update

At its September 7^th meeting, the Town Council approved a request for $214,000 to expand the Town’s fiber optic network to cover twenty Town and Board of Education facilities. The Board of Finance will consider this request at its September 18^th meeting and if approved will serve as a match to $700,000 in Urban Act Grant Funding that was awarded to the Town by the State of Connecticut for the project.

Assuming approval of the pending request before the Board of Finance, the Town will have appropriated $4,181,434 of its $5.4 million ARPA allocation. A total of $1,227,359 will remain unobligated. Approved and proposed projects are outlined on the Proposed Funding Plan Worksheet.
